If I had my way, which I rarely do, I would sit down with you and beg you to make an album of space and emptiness; just your amazing voice and minimal instruments, just a sprinkle of piano and acoustic here and there, raw and unrefined. More ‘dirty’, and nowhere close to polish.
The music should be one big loaded pause, a sigh, a desperate sigh, not a sigh of relief, a sigh of surrender. EMPTY. Desolate, but not whiny and pathetic. Strong in its pain. You do that so well.
