This is an Ode to Love of all kinds. After my father passed I thought my everything would fall apart. Yet, it was my friends and family who saw me through all of it. I worked on this song for at least 7 hours. I wanted to get it right, the lyrics especially.
This is a demo, recorded in my bedroom. Not mixed at all. I think I amplified my vocals here and there…
It is my favorite song I have ever written so far. An ode to Love, to Dusk, to healing and remembering…
Here are the lyrics.
Your heart’s my daisy chain in the sun. Your smile’s a reverie the light has spun. Strand by strand.
Wherever the light falls I will be. The shadows calling is your guarentee, your everything’s safe with me.
I still remember how love feels under my skin. It’s a poison, a cure for everything that has ever been.
If peace is what you want, peace you’ll surely find. Straight paths are for the less adventurous of mind.
Love travels with its lonely wings out spread, ruin or redemption lies ahead. Concrete boots in water.
I still remember how love feels like under your skin. It’s the light in every dark place that you have ever been in.
I still remember. Do you still remember. I still remember.
I still remember, do you still remember
What love feels like under your skin.
Wherever the light falls I will be
