Not every song written is destined to find its way to an album. I spend a great amount of time on the hunt for stories. Stories that will become music, but first they must resonate deeply with me. This was written for a friend and fellow artist.
Falling Stars
I whisper to the open skies
I cry out to the falling stars
Bring him back in one piece
See there’s a light that’s ever shining
I guess it’s the effects of love
And all of my undecided words have turned into dust
It orbits my every waking thought
The memory of us
Bring him back in one piece, bring him back to me
I’m in heaven and hell when you’re close to me
Your love colors me in every shade of light
So I swallow my sorrows and my tears so my fears won’t take flight
and I whisper to the falling stars every single night
Bring him back in one piece
Bring him back to me
Your love colors me in every shade of light
